UX design involves crafting the best possible experience for a user when they access a product or service.
This means researching the products and services offered by the organization, as well as their position within the market, crafting user personas and understanding motivations, and then designing the best possible experience for the user based on this.
User experience design is, of course, an ongoing discipline. As consumer motivation changes, and as new functionality is added to the business, the role of the UX designer will evolve alongside this.
UI designers, or user interface designers, combine their technology skills with a strong design and style sense to create websites, applications, and other technology products that are easy to use and attractive to users. From the overall interface of a website’s homepage that can make all the difference in a new user’s first impression to the tiniest shift in movement of an icon or search bar, UI designers are responsible for creating products that users find appealing and intuitive to use.
UX researchers play a critical role in the design process. They are responsible for providing answers to challenging and often unexplored questions about product design. Conducting various types of research, working with cross-functional teams and playing a significant role in assisting the user experience (UX) team to ensure that the consumer has an experience with a product that is fun, intuitive, accessible and enjoyable.
The Information Architect is a leader within the Enterprise Architecture Team partnering with both business and IT stakeholders to define and execute an enterprise data strategy and architecture that supports the organization’s business strategy.
A UX strategist develops and maintains a “product-market fit” for the business. In other words, you make sure that there is a demand for the product or service you are selling. A company must create a product that is good enough that at least everyday users will want to buy it for the price they can afford. And, above all, the UX strategist must ensure that the development of the product is aligned with the business strategy.
The UX architect is dedicated to coding websites, maintaining the aesthetics of the websites, and ensuring that the websites are easy to use. He or she must also analyze user behaviors and patterns to improve overall functionality.
