UX design involves crafting the best possible experience for a user when they access a product or service.

 

This means researching the products and services offered by the organization, as well as their position within the market, crafting user personas and understanding motivations, and then designing the best possible experience for the user based on this.

 

User experience design is, of course, an ongoing discipline. As consumer motivation changes, and as new functionality is added to the business, the role of the UX designer will evolve alongside this.

UI designers, or user interface designers, combine their technology skills with a strong design and style sense to create websites, applications, and other technology products that are easy to use and attractive to users. A UX strategist develops and maintains a “product-market fit” for the business. In other words, you make sure that there is a demand for the product or service you are selling. A company must create a product that is good enough that at least everyday users will want to buy it for the price they can afford. And, above all, the UX strategist must ensure that the development of the product is aligned with the business strategy.

The UX architect is dedicated to coding websites, maintaining the aesthetics of the websites, and ensuring that the websites are easy to use. He or she must also analyze user behaviors and patterns to improve overall functionality.

Creative Directors are responsible for connecting creative leads with companies. As part of the job, close collaborations with designers, copywriters, sales personnel, and the marketing team is required to produce creative content for the products and services being sold. Charged with heading advertising strategies, Creative Directors supervise team members and oversee projects, events, and product launches.

Graphic Designers use two or three-dimensional art to create visual concepts. They design logos and layout designs for print and electronic media including websites, magazines, brochures, user interfaces, product labels, reports and advertisements. They work with other professionals to incorporate typesetting, illustration, photography, and even programming, to ensure products display as intended.

Illustrators are artists that use their creative skills to create original images for a range of printed and digital products. They work closely with clients and the marketing team to turn ideas and printed media into inspiring illustrations.

Interaction design is closely related to the broader field of user experience design (UX). Both work together in the development of websites and applications, but interaction designer reduces the scope to focus on each moment of the customer experience, using logic and relationships between digital elements to help consumers complete actions most efficiently and enjoyably possible.

The art director manages a creative initiative from start to finish, participating in the management of all aspects of a project, guiding a multifunctional creative team in the conception, design, and execution of visual materials. The role varies by industry, and many art directors have added digital projects to their repertoire.

A visual designer designs for a variety of platforms, which may include Internet and intranet sites, games, movies, kiosks, and portable devices. In other words, they create concepts, illustrations, and designs for digital projects based on creative reports and client meetings. The tasks of the visual designer are often industry or project-specific, therefore, job descriptions often require knowledge of a particular business sector.

The web designer is in charge of creating attractive and functional websites. Design the layout of each site and organize the information in a way that is visually pleasing and logical. The expert web designer uses a combination of technical knowledge and visual design techniques to create a website.

Today’s production artist assists design teams primarily in producing print, packaging, advertising, point-of-purchase and digital graphics. The most common duty for a production artist is preflight formatting, in addition to collecting, processing, checking and uploading files.
